Abstract | What will happen to the geo-political tensions between the United States and China after the U.S. presidential election? What will be the future policy directions of ASEAN countries caught in the middle of the U.S.-China conflict? What will be the implications for the Japan-ASEAN cooperation? What will be the prospects of the supply chains in this region including semiconductors? In this RIETI BBL Global Intelligence Series session, we will hear from one of the most respected strategic thinkers in Asia, Ambassador Bilahari Kaushikan, the former Permanent Secretary of Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Kausikan currently serves as the Chairman of the Middle East Institute at the National University of Singapore. He will bring us his perspectives about the situations in East Asia, which are facing a major turning point. |
